Nic Shackle

Nic provides electronics and software engineering support for diverse neuroscience research projects, working together with researchers to develop and implement devices and software that monitor and manipulate neuronal tissue. Working across BNDU groups located on Mansfield Road, the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, he also aims to facilitate the transfer of technologies and methods to maximise internal collaboration. 

Prior to joining the unit, Nic has held engineering roles in both software and hardware; most recently serving as a senior software engineer at the Raspberry Pi foundation.
